NAOMI, was born in Japan and moved to Hanoi where she has been learning for the lacquer painting at Vietnam University of Fine Arts since 2000. She started practicing yoga in 2012 while working at the Urban Railway construction project office in Hanoi Vietnam. In 2013, she slowly discovered Ashtanga yoga and often went abroad to Asian countries such as Japan and India to practice it. After leaving her job, she started teaching at Zenith Yoga Hanoi and OM Hanoi since 2014. She is 500RYT certified.
She is a home practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga.
She needed to go abroad to located outside of Vietnam for practicing Ashtanga yoga. Because there were no Ashtanga teachers around her. In 2015, she attended the Ashtanga yoga Retreat and Mysore class taught by Tarik Thami in Ubud Bali who is teaching at Mysore Tokyo in Japan. Soon after that she has begun to focus practice self practice in Hanoi and practiced at Mysore Tokyo when back to Japan temporarily. In 2016 and 2017, 2018 she practiced under R. Sharath Jois at KPJAYI in Mysore, India. She has been continuing to practice it by myself. Then, she will continue to take a long journey of ashtanga yoga in the future. She attended Mysore classes and work shops taught by Petri Räisänen, Dylan Bernstein, Andrew Hillam, Iain Grysak, Prem&Radha, Kino Macgregor& Tim Feldmann, Ken Hamakuara…and many yoga friends!
She is interested in chanting, Sanskrit, and yoga philosophy, which she continues to practice and study in her daily life.
She creates original yoga goods called KAMALAM (louts flower in Sanskrit).
She has started daily Mysore class since September 2018 in Hanoi.
